Most of the wet sands used to produce cast iron parts are added to the pulverized coal addendum, but the amount of pulverized coal added at each sand mixing needs to be determined by the difference in the amount of effective coal powder between the sand and the old sand. In foreign countries, it is estimated that the amount of effective coal powder is estimated by measuring the amount of burning of sand or old sand (usually abbreviated as LOI, which is also called the total amount of combustibles in the United States), volatile matter, carbon content, and fixed carbon amount. The amount of sand loss in several foreign-funded and joint ventures in China is as follows: B-1 high pressure molding requires 4.0 to 5.5%; A-3 FBM molding sand is 2.5 to 4.5%; A-7 extrusion sand is 4.4. ~4.6%. The ABM FBM shape and the A-4 extrusion shape have a reduction of 3.7% and 2.0 to 2.2%, respectively, and the volatilization is 3.06% and 1.4%. A-1 stipulates that the amount of surface sand and back sand is 4.10±0.30% and 3.80±0.30%, respectively, and the total carbon amount is 3.00±0.50% and 2.80±0.50%, respectively. However, the specifications for the amount of ignition and volatiles specified by countries vary widely. In the same year, the author believed that the anti-sticking effect of pulverized coal mainly relied on volatile matter rather than fixed carbon or burning loss. Therefore, the amount of gas generated by reflecting the volatile matter in the sand is used to estimate the effective amount of coal.
