3. With the edge finder, the detailed steps of CNC milling machines are as follows:
( 1 ) X, Y facing tool
1 The workpiece is mounted on the work table of the machine tool through the fixture. When clamping, the measuring position of the edge finder should be left on all four sides of the workpiece.
2 Quickly move the table and spindle so that the probe of the edge finder is close to the left side of the workpiece;
3 Use fine-tuning operation, let the probe slowly touch the left side of the workpiece, until the edge finder emits light, note the X coordinate value in the machine coordinate system at this time, such as -310.300;
4 Lift the edge finder to the upper surface of the workpiece, quickly move the table and the spindle, so that the probe is close to the right side of the workpiece;
5 to use fine-tuning operation, so that the probe slowly touches the left side of the workpiece until the edger emits light, note the X coordinate value in the mechanical coordinate system at this time, such as -200.300;
6 If the probe diameter is 10mm, the workpiece length is -200.300-(-310.300)-10=100, according to which the X coordinate value of the workpiece coordinate system origin W in the machine coordinate system is -310.300+100/2+. 5= -255.300;
7 Similarly, the workpiece coordinate system origin W can be measured. The Y coordinate value in the machine coordinate system.
(2) Z direction tool
1 Remove the edge finder and put the tool used for machining on the spindle;
2 Place the Z axis setter (or fixed height block, the same below) on the workpiece surface;
3 Quickly move the spindle so that the tool end face is close to the upper surface of the Z-axis setter;
Use a fine-tuning operation so that the end face of the tool slowly touches the upper surface of the Z-axis setter until its pointer indicates zero;
5 note the Z value in the machine coordinate system at this time, such as -250.800;
6 If the height of the Z axis setting device is 50mm, the Z coordinate value of the workpiece coordinate system origin W in the machine coordinate system is -250.800-50-(30-20)=-310.800.
(3) Input the measured X, Y, Z value into the machine workpiece coordinate system memory address (usually use G54-G59 code to store tool setting parameters).
